Brides Spotlight

After 14 years Tammy and Jonny fulfilled their dream -
an English Country Wedding at The Ashes
"......I felt like a kid on Christmas morning!"

"My wedding day started by travelling to the venue with black stormy clouds and the rain bouncing off the pavement. As I got closer to The Ashes I saw the blue skies breaking through. When I arrived I was really excited to see how the venue looked from all the planning we had done.
I can remember walking into the courtyard to see the bunting around the barns, sweet peas in hessian jars, country flowers in milk churns, spotty table cloths and my cup cake wedding cake. I jumped for joy, I felt like a kid on Christmas morning. The girls then started to get ready whilst having some sips of champagne.

"......the bus had broken down...."

The groom and guests were arriving by a vintage double decker red bus however we received a phone call to say it had broken down. Panic over and the bus started and got everyone there on time! (just)
It was then time to walk down the aisle. I had my two beautiful children with me, I took a deep breath and entered the ceremony barn. I saw Jonny at the end of the aisle and all my nerves disappeared. My daughter read a poem which had most guests in tears.

After the ceremony we had Afternoon tea. This consisted of finger sandwiches, scones with jam, mini cakes and tea served in vintage tea cup. This felt like a relaxing time where all the guests and us could have a chat in the sunny courtyard. As the night progressed the alcohol flowed and the party began. It was great to look around to see all our mates having a dance and a laugh.

The girls had a surprise for Jonny. We started our first dance and the music cut to “Here come the Girls” we sat Jonny down and all did a little dance including my 8 year old daughter. I can remember asking someone for the time and there was only 50 mins of my wedding day left and I just did not want it to end. I feel very privileged that all our family and friends shared our day and they made it a day we will never forget.

"Jonny had said I must wait
for him to get home from
work so we could watch the
DVD together, yeh right!!"

James is very professional, polite and unobtrusive. He made me feel relaxed and never under pressure that he was there with a camera. He mingled with the guests and captured them at their best! I had every faith that James would fulfil my brief which was to capture the little details we included in our wedding and believe me he did.

James dropped off the DVD personally. Jonny had said I must wait for him to get home from work so we could watch the DVD together, yeh right!! There was no way I could wait. James probably had not pulled off the drive before I was pressing play.

I heard my chosen song and then the montage began. I was so excited. James captured every little detail of my wedding day. It brought back all the emotions and memories. I have said previously I did not want my day to end however I feel with the quality of this DVD no matter when I watch it even if it is in 20 years it will take me straight back to my English country garden wedding

I have shown everyone I have seen the wedding DVD. I have said to them all “I have brought round my wedding video to watch”. They all reply “Oh great we haven’t got hours to watch it” Then when it begins they were all absolutely amazed at how the editing and production tell the story of the day. They have only had positive words to say and have said it is the best wedding film they have seen."
